Automated appointment reminders not only help us, but they help the patients as when some get appointment reminders, they realize they need to reschedule and call us. This gives us enough advance to reschedule them and fill their time slot. We are booked solid 5-months in advance, so having the heads up before the appointment allows us to reach out to our other patients and move up their appointments. We keep our no-shows down with this functionality. We probably have 5-10 appointments a day that we are rescheduling. Funny enough, some patients change their mind when they learn we are 3+ months booked out.
