Healthcare Heroes is a community-driven initiative to award and support local healthcare practices that go above and beyond in serving their communities.

doctor

Dr. Vernard Hodges and Dr. Terrence Ferguson own and operate Critter Fixer; a bustling veterinary clinic in Warner Robins, Georgia. There, they treat everything from dogs and cats to exotic animals like Rheas (ask them about the Rhea if you ever get the chance. You won’t be disappointed.) On top of all they do for animals, they give back to the community with Vet for a Day—a program that helps marginalized kids learn from the experts what it’s like to be a veterinarian. With their help, kids all over the country have had an opportunity to embark on a career path they never would have otherwise. To donate to Vet for a Day, click the button below.
